About Our Client Our client is seeking an experienced technician to support their network and PBX infrastructure. The team focuses on managing network systems, hosted PBX solutions, and client-facing technical support. The Role: Network & PBX Technician This role exists to configure, troubleshoot, and support IP telephony and PBX systems, including hosted PBX solutions. It contributes to the business by maintaining network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and call quality, and providing technical support to clients and end users. The main focus areas include managing switches, routers, VLANs, 3CX PBX systems, and IP phones, as well as diagnosing network and VoIP issues. Key Responsibilities Apply a minimum of 5 years of hands-on network technician experience to install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure including switches, routers, and VLANs. Deploy, program, and troubleshoot IP phones and 3CX PBX systems. Support and maintain hosted PBX solutions while ensuring high availability and call quality. Diagnose and resolve network and VoIP-related issues, including latency, jitter, packet loss, and QoS. Design and document network topologies to support voice and data traffic, maintaining accurate configuration records. Perform routine maintenance, firmware and software updates, and system health checks. Provide first- and second-line technical support while liaising with clients and end users to resolve technical issues. Program and troubleshoot Yeastar PBX systems as required. About You Minimum 5 years of hands-on network technician experience. Proven experience with 3CX PBX systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. Solid understanding of hosted and cloud PBX solutions. Experience programming and troubleshooting IP phones. Strong working knowledge of switches and VLAN configuration. Good understanding of network topologies and voice\/data traffic flows. Ability to diagnose and resolve network connectivity and performance issues. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset. Good communication skills for client-facing support. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Willingness to keep up to date with evolving networking and VoIP technologies. Experience with Yeastar PBX systems. CompTIA A+ certification. CompTIA Network+ certification. CompTIA Security+ certification.
