SUMMARY:
We are looking for a Linux Network Administrator based in the East Rand of Johannesburg

POSITION INFO:
The role involves securing and maintaining the organization’s computer systems’ network and ensuring a reliable, secure, and efficient data communications network.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and Set Up Network Infrastructure: Design solutions and implement, configure, and maintain LAN and WAN.
Maintain High Availability Network Infrastructure: Install and configure network equipment, maintain computer networks and systems, diagnose and identify network and security issues.
Conduct Research on Latest Networking Practices: Review and recommend software updates, patches, and firmware releases.
Perform General Administrative Functions: Define network policies and procedures, document existing systems and formulate plans.
Undertake Extraneous-to-IT Activities: Operational checks on generators, UPS, camera hardware, solar systems, and perform basic maintenance.

Requirements:

BSc degree in Computer Science or related field
Linux LPIC-1
A+ Certificate
N+ Certificate
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Aruba Certified Switching Associate (ACSA), Fortigate
MCSE
MCIPT

Experience:

Proven experience as a network administrator, with experience in Network Security, Aruba routing, switches, Windows server 2019-2016, Linux Server, Microsoft Systems, and VMware.
Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
Understanding of internet protocols, services, standards and network security
Solid understanding of network automation
Strong problem-solving and organising skills
Robust ability to configure and maintain networking stacks
