Network Engineer L2

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our Client a leading Tech firm is seeking a Network Engineer L2 to join their team in Cape town on a contract basis for 6 to 12 months. They offer stability, growth, attractive rates and an excellent working environment.

As a L2 Network Engineer, you'll be responsible for helping to maintain and upgrade the company's networks. You will perform regular network monitoring and have access to technical knowledge that is not generally available within the IT department. You will also be expected to conduct routine hardware checks on all equipment in order to ensure it is working properly.

Requirements

Technical troubleshooting for issues such as:

RD gateway

Audio issues

Absa applications (workspace)

Other WFS applications

VPN connectivity (Vodacom)

Forti Client connectivity

Qualifications

Three years of experience in software engineering, networking or related field required
Experience with TCP/IP networking, LAN/WAN connectivity and packet delivery required.
Must have a background in troubleshooting network problems, especially over the Internet.
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field required
