Network Security Engineer - Cisco

POSITION INFO:

An innovative, young and dynamic Cybersecurity and Managed Networks Service Provider is seeking the skills of a Network Security Engineer to deliver and implement focused and industry leading network security and infrastructure solutions. The company forecasts rapid expansion and offers the opportunity for growth based on outstanding execution and performance.

Minimum Requirements:

Matric Certificate
CCNP Security Certified
5 Years of work experience

Role

As a Network Security Engineer you will take responsibility for the day to day workings of the Clients Infrastructure in terms of operational activities, project deliverables, reporting and advanced security investigations.
The Networks Security Engineer must be proficient at the following Cisco Products and Skills:
Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance
Cisco Firepower (Application Layer Firewalling)
Cisco Firepower IPS Functionality
Cisco Firepower Management Centre
Cisco Identity Services Engine
Cisco Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client
Cisco Access Control Server
The use of vulnerability scanners to proactively detect threats, and to assess and mitigate the threats accordingly.
The use of Packet Analysers for advanced network and security troubleshooting.

Experience in the below technologies are preferred.

Cisco Advanced Malware Protection.
Integration of Cisco AMP into Firepower and ISE.
Cisco Umbrella.
Cloud Based Security Solutions
LAN Based Threat Analytics Systems such as Cisco Stealthwatch.
Denial of Service Protection at the Enterprise Edge.
Cisco Wireless Security (wIPS).
Knowledge of Cisco Networking would be advantageous.
The use of Digital Forensics Tools such as ObservIT.
