Network Technician
A leading Internet and VoIP Service Provider is seeking a dedicated Network Technician to join their team. This role focuses on maintaining high-quality wireless connectivity and providing professional technical support to ensure client satisfaction.
Location: Pullenshope (Hendrina area)
Salary: R13,000 per month
Commission: Applicable after a three-month probation period
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:00
Standby: Every second week
Position Type: Permanent
Requirements
Valid Code 8 or Code 10 driver’s license
Own reliable transportation to and from work
Fluency in both English and Afrikaans
Previous experience within the Internet Service Provider (ISP) industry
Experience with on-site installations and providing client support
Technical knowledge of MikroTik, Ubiquiti, VoIP, and camera systems
Proficiency in troubleshooting wireless internet systems
Reliable work ethic and the ability to work without supervision
Strong communication skills and a proactive, eager-to-learn attitude
Qualifications
Matric (Grade 12) certificate
High level of computer literacy and the ability to multitask
Responsibilities
Installing and configuring network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points
Setting up software and hardware to ensure consistent connectivity
Monitoring network performance to maintain maximum uptime
Implementing security measures such as firewalls
Providing technical support and troubleshooting for end-users
