Network Technologists
POSITION INFO:
Our Client a Global Tech firm is seeking 7 Network Technologists to join their team in Cape town on a 12 month contract. They offer stability, competitive rates, growth and an excellent working environment.
As a Network Technologist, you''ll be responsible for managing the network infrastructure within our offices. You will ensure that all hardware and software components are operating as intended and provide support to our remote employees. You should have a good understanding of networking technologies such as virtualization, firewalls, routers, and switches. You should also be familiar with common protocols such as FTP or HTTP.
Requirements
Network infrastructure Services;
- Identifying and diagnosing advanced problems with network infrastructure;
- Setup and configuration of Cisco range of switches, routers, and wireless access points;
- Virtualisation (VM Ware and Hyper V);
- Managing and enhancing the network security platforms. such as servers, switches, and backend infrastructure;
- Managing and deploying the Microsoft server platform, such as base OS, patch Management, DHCP, and other related services;
- Audio-Visual (VC) setup, troubleshooting, and support;
- Solution research.
VoIP Services:
- VoIP service setup, installation, and support;
- Managing and reporting of CISCO network management tools, such as ACS and CUCM;
- Managing and expansion of the CISCO unified platform, such as CUCM and UCCX;
- Managing and deploying secure wireless environments;
- Managing and deploying collaboration and unified communication;
- Solution research.
Wan (Broadband) Services:
- Site assessments and migrations for the Broadband Initiative;
- Assistance with the implementation of intricate ICT solution sets to ensure layers 1,2 and 3 are installed and configured in accordance with agreed design requirements;
- Solution research.
Application Rollouts and Operational Support:
- Site assessments and installation of network infrastructure on new and existing WCG Health sites;
- Desktop support;
- Troubleshooting, fixing, and fitting;
- Solution research.
- Ability to collaborate and work as a part of a team;

- Strong presentation skills at board level (EXCO, CTM, etc.);
- Relevant technical skills and experience;

Qualifications
Grade 12 (Matric) Certificate or evidence of minimum NQF Level 4
Cisco OEM Certification as Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT) or Certified as an A+/N+ technician;
Most recent renewal or certification not older than 2019;
Related collective 3-year experience in the same or similar role;
Evidence of service rendered in an organization of 500+ users (evidence of at least one organization to be reflected in CV)
