Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a newly qualified Chartered Accountant to join their finance team. Learn the business, build on your business acumen and develop your industry knowledge through joining this JSE listed company. An individual who is young and passionate will do well in this role.

POSITION INFO:
Duties:

Critically evaluating the internal control environment, identifying risks and drafting a suitable audit programme to test these controls.
Performance of audits to identify control deficiencies, potential fraud, regulatory compliance deficiencies and management policies or procedures deviations.
Prepare work papers, computations and statistical reports to ensure compliance with established control procedures.
Apply audit experience to resolve more advanced, complex audit elements, including issues escalated by management.
Drafting of audit reports and presentation to senior management.
Build, maintain and manage professional relationships with management.
Assist with implementation of recommendations and perform follow-up audits to verify that controls have been implemented and are operating effectively.
Work within the audit team to design and implement process improvements.
Contribute to appropriate development of the audit team (e.g. training, coaching/mentoring, etc.).

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Qualifications:

Matric (Grade 12)
Bcom Accounting Degree
BCom Accounting Honours /CTA
Eligible to Register as a CA(SA) or a Newly Qualified CA(SA)

Experience:

Completed 3 year articles at big 4 audit background is important
Knowledge of IFRS and experience supporting subsidiaries with IFRS application
Clients in Telecoms/Motor/Manufacturing/Retail/FMCG and Property Industry will be an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies:

Must be a motivated, self-starter, able to work independently and within a team
Must have advanced Excel skills
Must have report writing skills
Must have strong organisational and analytical skills.
Must be target/results driven.
