Valid driver’s license.

Proven experience in a leadership or production assistant management role; experience within a sawmilling environment will be an added advantage.

Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing production plans, process controls, and quality assurance measures.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Solid understanding of current labour legislation.

Ability to perform under pressure and consistently meet deadlines and production targets.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and coordinate production teams effectively.

Proven ability to foster and maintain productive relationships with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.

Willingness to work additional hours when required.

Assist in planning, coordinating, and overseeing night shift operations within the production departments, primarily focusing on the Wetmill, with additional responsibilities in the Drymill as directed.

Support the management of performance, productivity, efficiency, and cost control during the night shift through the application of effective methods and strategies.

Adhere to and enforce company policies and procedures to maximize operational output and minimize risk.

Assist in leading and motivating night shift personnel in accordance with labour legislation and company policies.

Monitor the maintenance and maintenance scheduling of machinery and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.

Maintain high housekeeping standards across all relevant production areas.

Assist in controlling departmental expenses to align with approved budget parameters.
