Night Shift Transport Manager - DC

POSITION INFO:

Our client is looking for a Night Shift Transport Manager to join their dynamic team in the Distribution Centre, based in Meadowdale.

Experience Required:

• Responsible for the Nights Transport Operation from site
• Fully accountable for the nights transport function
• Accountable to ensure that the sites are always legally compliant during the nights operation
• Accountable for achieving agreed KPI''s and Business Targets by maintaining and monitoring the effectiveness of deliveries
• Manage and work with the teams at the sites to control discipline, attendance, and performance levels - service and cost, are in line with Company policy, expectations, and transport regulations and legislation
• Experienced in managing across multiple sites
• Experienced within both bulk and multi-drop environments and operations
• Extensive transport and 3PL experience (preferably with FMCG clients)
• Knowledge of TMS (Transport Management Systems) / WMS (Warehouse Management systems)
• Strong warehousing and stock management experience
• Experience with Transport/Warehouse operations management
• Financial Management knowledge and budget control experience

 

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualification in Transport Management / Operations Management / Similar
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a transport role
• Computer literate
• Have great communication skills both written and verbal
