Nurse Clinician Technical Advisor (Paeds & Adolescent)

Qualifications and Experience

• MBChB degree or BCurr with a Postgraduate qualification with Primary Health Care specialty (Nurse Clinician)
• Valid HPCSA registration as Independent Practitioner or valid SANC registration
• Minimum 2 years’ post community service clinical experience (for medical doctors) and 5 years for Nurse Clinicians
• HIV Management training essential
• NIMART trained and graduated from the mentorship programme (Nurse Clinician)
• Experience in training an advantage
• Experience in engaging with children and caregivers around Disclosure in children
• Experience with management of (donor) public health programmes, an advantage
• Quality Improvement and project management skills, an advantage
• Knowledge of 909090 strategy and other Health related policies
• Key Competencies Technical Knowledge and Skill

Generic Skills

Good knowledge of Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART), TB and Chronic Medication

Proficiency with MS Trained on Paediatric management of ART & AYFS

Office Experience managing children & adolescent on ART

Good report writing skills Understanding of TB/HIV/PMTCT guidelines, programme indicators and good monitoring & evaluation presentation/facilitation

Ability to analyse and interpret HIV/TB programme data to inform skills programme planning and implementation
