SUMMARY:
Our client a leader in the manufacturing industry is seeking an experienced Office Manager to join their team.

POSITION INFO:

The following Key Performance Areas covered by the position:

Sales

  • To devise and implement strategies to ensure that the branch remains supplier of choice in the region. Provide inputs to business strategy and growth.
  • Develop a sustainable and successful sales team through effective and efficient management and support. 
  • Build, support and maintain a healthy, diverse internal relationship to ensure achievement of goals, implement remedial action where required.
  • Monitor and manage the sales team ensuring targets are met, customer satisfaction is monitored and maintained and queries are resolved timeously
  • Manage and track quotations, sales orders.  Monitor the sales quotation process according to the best price and company standards
  • Assist with the expediting process.  Proactively drive sales reports to expedite work in progress and deliveries
  • Maintain sales targets
  • Ensure costings are accurate and in compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Monitor the tender, costing and quotation process
  • Manage and control the manual delivery system
  • Ensure validation of credit notes and adherence to company policy and procedures

People Management:

  • Participate in people development initiatives such as performance management; succession planning and talent management to ensure team performance meets required standards
  • Maintain Disciplinary behavior according to the Company Disciplinary Code
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures with regards to admin and sales team

General

  • Carry out all reasonable or lawful duties and instructions as from time to time assigned to you in a proper and diligent manner
  • Obtain, check and refine information, collate and submit reports
  • Oversee the maintenance of housekeeping reports relating to stock and sales
  • All monthly reports required to be submitted to Regional Sales Manager

 

Required Qualifications / Experience

  • Tertiary qualification with a minimum of five years’ experience in a Sales environment
  • Computer literate - MS Outlook, Word, SAP - Advanced Excel
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of products
  • Knowledge of relevant sales systems
  • Knowledge of industry
  • Understanding of knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Proven problem solving, people management, communication and conflict handling skills
