Operation Engineer-Rustenburg

POSITION INFO:

OPERATION ENGINEER: (Shafts and Underground Systems)

Reports to Mine Manager.

Min. Qualifications

• Government Certificate of Competency Mines of works in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is  essential (2.13.1)
• operational experience within Hard Rock Mining industry is essential
• Maintenance expertise
• Expert in winding plant and conveyors and conveyors systems
• Compressors, refrigeration and ventilation plants experience essential

KEY COMPETENCIES

• Monitor & review safey trends to establish methodologies to improve safety and zero fatality culture,
• Establish budgets to maintain & improve engineering services
• Control allocated budgets within the business plan,
• Maintain & review maintenance procedures
• Monitor, review and implement environmental compliance
• Develop, coach and mentor subordinates
• Ensure compliance with current legislation
