Operation Engineer-Rustenburg

POSITION INFO:

OPERATION ENGINEER: (Shafts and Underground Systems)

Reports to Mine Manager.

Min. Qualifications

Government Certificate of Competency Mines of works in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is essential (2.13.1)
operational experience within Hard Rock Mining industry is essential
Maintenance expertise
Expert in winding plant and conveyors and conveyors systems
Compressors, refrigeration and ventilation plants experience essential

KEY COMPETENCIES

Monitor & review safey trends to establish methodologies to improve safety and zero fatality culture,
Establish budgets to maintain & improve engineering services
Control allocated budgets within the business plan,
Maintain & review maintenance procedures
Monitor, review and implement environmental compliance
Develop, coach and mentor subordinates
Ensure compliance with current legislation
