Operational Accountant

SUMMARY:
We are currently recruiting for an Operational Accountant for a leading mining company based in Pretoria. You will work closely with production, shared services, and treasury teams to ensure accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and efficient operational support. POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, analyse, and present accurate and timely monthly management reports and financial statements.
• Collaborate with group shared services to ensure efficient transaction processing and adherence to company policies.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and short-term funding requirements.
• Monitor and analyse production costs, investigate variances, and provide insights to improve operational efficiency.
• Oversee inventory accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with ERP system data

• BCom Accounting Degree (articles preferred)
• 3–5 years’ experience in an accounting role
• Exposure to mining, manufacturing, construction, or similar operational industries
• Strong MS Office and advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical ability, accuracy, and the ability to work in a high-pressure environment
