POSITION INFO:

Our client, a leading Waste Management organisation is seeking to URGENTLY appoint a suitably qualified and experienced a dynamic Operational Occupational Health Manager to join their team in Johannesburg.

MAIN PURPOSE FOR THE ROLE:

• To be responsible for managing and co-ordinating a comprehensive, high quality Operational Occupational health service to all regions of the organisation, as well as managing and leading staff, and other resources to achieve business objectives and add value.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure legally compliant clinic facilities.
• Medical status compliance and compliance to the relevant health and safety legislation and company policies and procedures.
• Implement and maintain financial controls.
• Oversee database management.
• To manage, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of service delivery.
• Standardization of operational standards of each facility i.e. develops policies, systems, processes, standards, guidelines, and work instructions.
• Manage all Occupation Health teams including performance and reviews.
• Act as a principle contact for Occupational health matters.
• Liaise with both external providers and internal customers.
• Manage, monitor, and review external health contracts to ensure that agreed performance standards are achieved and maintained.
• Review management information relating to medical referrals, emerging patterns, and communicate trends to HR Business Unit.
• Ensure company is kept updated with occupational guidelines and standards.

KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

• At minimum a Medical Degree or National Diploma.
• At least 5 Years’ Operational experience in Occupational Health Management
• At least 3-5 years of experience in hazardous waste management will be a distinct advantage.
• Experience in a related discipline where managing people, will prove an added advantage.
