JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose: Manage the daily activities of the purchasing section in order to ensure efficient supply of operational supplies and materials.

Minimum Qualifications: Degree: Purchasing Management
CIPS Level 4 (Compulsory)

Minimum Experience: Finance/Procurement: Operational 5 years

Roles and Responsibilities include inter alia:
Procurement
Obtain quotes in line with procurement procedures
Review Requisitions in order to verify accuracy
Negotiate price and delivery
Place orders with suppliers for stock and non-stock purposes
Expedite overdue orders and provide feedback
Maintain effective document control system and file documentation to aid future reference.
Communication with suppliers and end users
Liaise with suppliers regarding price differences, deliveries and specifications
Prepare reports and updates as and when required
Work closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements
Assist with Annual BBBEE Certification
Assist with Managing Vendor data base
Ability to conduct necessary checks on Vendors
Ensure Procurement Policy is adhered to at all times
