JOB SUMMARY:
Our MASA Outsourcing office based in Parow North, Cape Town is looking to fill 2 positions for an Operations Controller / Site Supervisor in a 12-month contract with the option of permanent employment thereafter.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This is NOT in the construction industry. It is in Labour Outsourcing.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibilities
Ensure new and existing client sites are managed in accordance with standard operations procedures and SLA requirements.
Liaise between sites and office to build a “contract pool of staff” that are immediately available for dispatch to clients in accordance with the company recruitment procedure and Client Service Level Agreement.
Conduct MASA induction to ensure that temporary staff is suitably informed about pay systems, wage query systems, disciplinary systems, timekeeping systems, etc.
Ensure all recruitment procedures are followed prior to placing new employees on client sites.
Ensure employees are promptly provided to the client to meet the daily headcount requirements.
Responsible for ensuring timesheets are captured and authorized in accordance with Client agreements and are submitted timeously to meet the payroll deadlines.
Responsible for ensuring employee files are maintained and kept updated.
Strategically handle and resolve conflict constructively.
Responsible for staff contingency planning to meet client seasonal peaks.
Plan and ensure daily, weekly and monthly client visits for operations team and Senior Operations Controller.
Responsible for daily feedback from the Operations team ensuring follow up and follow through is actioned.
Ensure consistently high client service levels in all areas of the operation and that the sites are suitably supervised by operational staff.
Responsible for operational equipment/vehicles.
Responsible for uniforms and safety wear / PPE.
Accurately record, manage and control all funds assigned to and derived from the operation activities.

Requirements
Proven supervisory experience within the TES/Labour Broking Industry with responsibility for managing large workforces.
Excellent knowledge of labour laws.
Knowledge of OHS Act and health and safety requirements.
Experience with both manual timesheets and biometric time and attendance systems and the extraction of hours into excel.
Advanced excel for compilation of reports.
Highly numerate with attention to detail.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Prepared to work long hours and be available on-call 24/7.
Valid Driver’s License with own vehicle and be prepared to travel as required.
