JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client, a fast paced and rapidly growing logistics company, specializing in fruit, wine and perishables export and transportation, seeks to employ a well experienced and organized Operations Controller, specifically with a background in Perishables

Preference will be given to candidates who have been employed in the logistics/transport or freight forwarding sector.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERTION:

You must be able to work independently and accurately keep records and be proactive in your approach to ensuring the profitability of the company.

You will have Matric, coupled with 5 years experience in operations control within the Forward and Clearing sector, specifically dealing with Perishables, Fruit or Bulk Wine.
You will have proven experience in movement planning, track & trace, order confirmations, Q67 confirmations, document control, letters of credit and relevant perishable industry requirements.
You will have exceptional customer care skills, as well as being deadline orientated, able to prioritize effectively and work as a key team player.
You will have advanced Excel skills, as well as thorough knowledge of forwarding and clearing software processes
You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and due to the position being one of trust, a clear criminal and credit record is essential
