SUMMARY:
A new vacancy for an Operations Manager, reporting to the Operations Executive, has arisen in our KZN (PTN)

POSITION INFO:

Key Performance Areas:

Operational performance in their factory.
Identifying and delivering "quicker, lighter, faster"product solutions
Appropriate and deligent care of ou Production assets-"Ässet Care"- excluding Services Equipment, ( being Plant and Equipment that supplies air, water and electricity) raw materialfeeding systems and factory - based air-conditoning systems.
Ensuring consistent performance of each business unit.
Managing Production KPI''s within parameters(waste, overtime, people resources etc.)
Management of Production Teams (training, coaching and perfomance management)
Partnering effectively with the SHEQ team to ensure zero customer complants and returns.
Identifying and Managing trends and ensuring proper root cause to prevent repeat issues
Optimization of Up/ Production time and effciencies

Key Competencies:

Minimum 8 years'' experience in Management in Manufacturing and Production (Packaging or FMCG preferable)
B-Tech/BSc Engineering degree or National Diploma ideal (Mechanical or Electrical)
N5 minimum in a mechanical or electrical trade
3 Years plus Operations/Plant Management experience essential
Intermediate excel and ability to work with numbers and people

Strong technical and problem-solving aptitude
A proven track record of managing a team of Artisans and/or Engineers.
