Qualifications:

• Degree in Chemical Engineering (Strictly Chemical/Industrial with Chemical Major)
• Post Graduate Degree in (Industrial / Engineering / Production) Management will be an Advantage

Experience:

• 10 to 15 years’ experience in manufacturing environment with at least
• 5 - 10 years’ people management on all levels in the organisation
• Previous experience in a chemical processing environment will be an advantage
• Good working and execution experience in a World Class Manufacturing Environment (Asset Care, Lean or Six Sigma Principles etc. will be an advantage).

Purpose of the Role:

The purpose of the job is to lead, manage and co-ordinate the operational and production strategy for Factory Complex through World Class Manufacturing Principles and practices in a safe and efficient manner to deliver quality product and create a long-term competitive advantage.

The most important aspect of this role is effective people management and related practices.  The individual must be able to lead, coach and manage people, influencing direct and indirect reports to achieve the goals of the organisation. 

The key focus areas of effective people management will be motivating people, coaching, team building, delegating, interviewing, reward, managing change, handling conflict, dealing with poor performance and organizational culture. 

Setup of self-directed teams, that are managed by outputs with accountably at source that needs a minimum level of direct supervision. Responsible to lead the facility to serve customers, support capital projects, add value to the local community and prevent incidents, in accordance with company governance, safety health environment, quality and hygiene Company policies, standards, guidelines and relevant legislation.

Maintaining, implementing and improving practices and standards according to World Class Principles and processes within the operations environment will be a key outcome measured

High Level Objective:

Implementation and improvement of practices and standards according to World Class Manufacturing principles. 

1. With a specific focus on Leading Managing Change, 5S, Visual Management, Teamwork, Focused Improvement, Human Capital and Asset Care. 
2. The keystone to success will be the effectiveness and engagement of Human Resources, effective self-directed teams that are multi-skilled and apply effective problem solving, to enable improved quality, productivity and service, greater flexibility, reduced operating costs and faster response to change.

High Level Duties:

Manage and coach team across functions in order to deliver world class operation excellence through world class practices and standards.

• Develop and execute strategy that ensures high standard of customer service, quality and efficiency within Production.
• Lead and manage Manufacturing and Production on site to meet objectives
• To ensure standardization of operational systems and ensure that training is developed as per business strategic and capability requirements
• Manage relationship with internal customers and stakeholders
• Develop and execute strategy aligned with company’s standards in Safety, Environment and Quality,
• Legal Responsibility and Management of Safety, Risk and Environmental Compliance
• Management of Budget, Financial Performance and Expenses
