SUMMARY:
This role WILL BE based in the DRC PURPOSE OF THE ROLE : Manage & control operating & capital expenditure within the business, Budget process co-ordinator and Supervisor.

POSITION INFO:

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

B Com Degree or equivalent
Post graduate degree or diploma in Accounting or finance or equivalent
At least 5 years'' experience in a financial department in a mining environment

Proficiency in MS Excel

Strategic and analytical techniques would be an advantage
Any Delta experience would be an advantage to the applicant
Professional written and verbal communication in French would be an advantage

Responsibilities :

Cost and profitability optimisation
Cost and management accounting;
Annual budget preparation;
Monthly forecasting;
Operational financial reporting;
Legal compliance;
Supervision;
Assist Executive, Finance with Ad-hoc exercices.
Budget and reporting process for Operation
Liaison with HOD''s for cost optimisation
Financial processes and controls within the operations
Financial analysis on monthly results and reporting to cost forum within set timeline and framework
Capex Budget and fixed asset management.
Input to budgeting and reporting processes and tools
Managing the detail budgeting and forecasting process for the operations and reporting it within set timeline
Managing and creating cost awareness and reducing of spending patterns

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Good knowledge of creditors, cashbook, materials management, payroll, capital projects and costing;
Must have advanced computer skills especially in Microsoft Office as well as a recognised financial operating system
Budget and reporting process for Operation
Liaison with HOD''s in terms of their cost centres
Financial processes and controls within the operations
Financial analysis on monthly results and reporting to cost forum within set timeline and framework
Capex Budget and fixed asset management.
Input to budgeting and reporting processes and tools
Managing the detail budgeting and forecasting process for the operations and reporting it within set timeline
Managing and creating cost awareness and reducing of spending patterns
Professional written and verbal communication in English
Previous supervisory experience is essential
