Job Specification
Install, assemble, service, overhaul, repair and load test overhead cranes, hoists and other lifting machines and equipment according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
Build Electrical panels for all Cranes.
Conduct routine service inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues or malfunctions.
Perform repairs and troubleshooting on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components of overhead cranes.
Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults using appropriate testing and diagnostic equipment.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures, including the proper use of prescribed personal protective equipment.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, maintenance and repair logs.
Carry out ad-hoc tasks as and where necessary per request from the Employer.
Experience and Qualifications
Sound mechanical and electrical knowledge, including troubleshooting and repair.
Engineering exposure / knowledge
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to overhead crane operations.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
Must be able to work unsupervised.
LMI Certified.
At least 5-years traceable experience.
Able to work outside normal working hours from time to time and work under pressure.
Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Able to climb ladders, working at heights and confined spaces.
Building/Wiring of panels
Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
Valid driver’s license
Package:
Basic wage which is paid weekly: Looking at about R250.00 per hour (40-hour week) – Get paid 11/2 or 2x the hourly rate when person works overtime.
After 3-months’ probation – Provident fund: 7.5% of his/her salary will be deducted and the company will match that amount – monthly
R300.00 – paid on his/her salary for the week that they on stand-by (Generally every 3-rd week)
Will have the use of a Company Bakkie with petrol to use to perform his work at clients and sites etc…
Working hours: Mon – Thurs 7am – 15:45pm and Fri 7am – 14:30pm
