Employer Description Company designs and supplies battery energy storage and backup power solutions Job Description Your duties will encompass: Develop and implement supply chain strategies. Manage the procurement of electronic, electrical, and mechanical components, including battery cells, BMS, PCBs, wiring, connectors, sheet metal, plastic components, and assemblies. Oversee the sourcing and coordination of key services, including container manufacturing, cabling, HVAC systems, and fire suppression solutions. Build, maintain, and manage relationships with local and international suppliers. Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements to ensure cost-effective and reliable supply. Lead demand planning, inventory optimisation, and material requirements planning (MRP) within an ERP environment. Monitor supplier performance and manage supply chain risks related to lead times, logistics, and supply continuity. Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and project management teams to align procurement activities with project and technical requirements. Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. Qualifications Degree in Engineering, Commerce (BCom) with a focus on Supply Chain Management or a related qualification. Skills Minimum 10 years' experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Proven experience sourcing electronic, electrical, and mechanical components. Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (ERPNext, Syspro, or similar) and MRP planning processes. Experience in a project-based, engineered products, energy, power systems, or industrial manufacturing environment. Strong commercial, negotiation, and supplier management skills. Sound understanding of electrical, electronic, and mechanical components. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on cost, inventory, and delivery performance optimisation. Ability to manage multiple projects and perform effectively under pressure. Strong understanding of Incoterms, international shipping, customs clearance, and import\/export processes. Experience with international sourcing and logistics will be advantageous. Exposure to Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), renewable energy, or power systems.
