JOB SUMMARY:
Grabouw/ Elgin Area – Western Cape: Our client is looking for a Payroll Administrator to join the team.
Only candidates with the relevant experience will be considered.
This is an Employment Equity and ‘LIVE OUT’ position

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must have Grade 12/Matric. Tertiary education advantageous
Must have at least 2 years’ experience in processing Payroll (PaySpace, VIP or any other Payroll system experience is a prerequisite)
Basic accounting knowledge advantageous
High level computer literacy (MS excel)
Numerical reasoning skills
Exceptional attention to detail
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills (speak and understand Afrikaans and/or English).
Must be flexible and willing to work overtime and public holidays, when required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Importing time and attendance records and processing of weekly wages.
Ensure weekly wages and control sheets are accurate before payment is made and distribution of weekly payslips
Liaise with the finance department on month-end reports (wage journals, 3rd party payments)
Prepare HR and Finance related reports as required
Ensure employee files are up to date and completeness of required information
Resolve wage-related queries (all input not limited to provident fund, leave pay, tax queries)
Responsible for monthly reconciliations and year-end auditing. Balancing of control accounts between payroll and accounting systems.
Responsible for annual leave and bonus calculations and import of data onto the payroll system
Responsible for reconciliations to wage-related 3rd parties (doctor’s accounts, loans, provident fund and all other company related benefit contributions)
