PLANT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER WITH GCC (FROM PAPER, STEEL OR SUGAR INDUSTRIES) (Durban, Cato Ridge) BBEEE R70,000 â€“ R80,000 PM CTC

POSITION INFO:

Steel Plant seeks a hands-on Maintenance Engineer/Mechanical Special with experience on a broad base of equipment, good exposure to route cause analysis and safety management. You will need to be a mechanical specialist, with a GCC who is willing to get his hands dirty. You should be from the paper, steel or sugar industries, i.e. worked for a company like Metal, score Columbus, Hulamin, Mondi, Sapi, Hullets. We are not looking for someone from a chemical plant, or the coke line in a steel plant, we are also not looking for a manager or someone wanting to do his MBA, we are looking for a technical specialist. You should be a 5 -10 years post ECSA approved candidate. A minimum of BEng/BSc Mechanical Engineering Degree and Pr.Eng, SAIMechE. Computer literate (MS Office; SAP; PLC software (ABB and Siemens mostly). Own reliable transport. We are looking for candidates with Pressure equipment, mill cranes, hydraulics, fans and pumps and welding experience. On a daily basis you will be doing fault finding, assisting the maintenance employees, dealing with breakdowns, capex projects, writing specs, supplier visits and inspections as the sugar industry, paper or steel with steel being first prize.

- Min BEng/BSc Mechanical Engineering Degree and Pr.Eng, SAIMechE.

- Worked on MS Office; SAP; PLC software (ABB and Siemens mostly)

- If you are a Technical Master with loads of passion for Engineering
