PLC and Instrument Technician

You will be ensuring that the plant and equipment within the packaging plant runs at optimum speed and if there is a breakdown and it is your shift, you will make yourself available to attend to the bottleneck. 

Requirements:

• Fault finding on PLC and Instrumentation of the equipment 
• Repairs and uploading of the PLC and Instrumentation
• Able to do project related installations and oversee them 
• Read drawings and make changes to drawings 
• Commission new plant installations 
• Coach and Mentor other electrical staff 
• Control the budget for your division 
• Manage the drawings done by the drawing office on electrical and instrumentation 
• OHS Act compliance 
• Risk compliance 
• Preventative maintenance and routine maintenance schedules to be planned and executed  

Must have:

• Trade Tested Millwright or Electrician or Electro mechanician 
• or BTech Electrical or Electromechanical 
• or BEng or BsC Electromechanical 
• PLC programming, fault finding and uploads 
• Siemens S7 or Allen Bradley or similar 
• SAP 
• Kuka, Fanuc, ABB robotics 
• Instrumentation equipment, fault finding and repairs 
• Read and create electrical drawings 
• 5 to 6 years in a similar role 

Will have to 

• Shift work and Standby when needed 
• Manager staff 
• Control budget 
• Adherence to regulations
