Our client, a reputable legal firm, is seeking a motivated Post-Admission Attorney with 3–5 years litigation experience. The ideal candidate will handle litigation matters efficiently, manage client relationships professionally, and assist in commercial and trust-related legal matters. Fluency in Afrikaans and English is a necessity, and experience with trusts is highly beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and manage pleadings, affidavits, notices of motion, and other court documents
• Attend court proceedings, pre-trial conferences, mediations, and client meetings
• Conduct legal research, prepare opinions, and advise clients on merits and risks
• Manage case files, track deadlines, and liaise with counsel and courts
• Prepare settlements, negotiate on behalf of clients, and manage out-of-court resolutions
• Maintain compliance with ethical and professional standards and stay updated on legislation and case law

Requirements

• Admitted attorney with 3–5 years litigation experience post-admission
• Experience in commercial litigation or legal suits; trust-related experience advantageous
• Excellent drafting and communication skills (written and verbal)
• Fluency in Afrikaans and English essential
• Strong analytical, research, and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage multiple cases and work under pressure
