SUMMARY:
1. My client, an international concern, is seeking a well-qualified and experienced product manager. You will report to the national sales & marketing manager. You will be responsible for the complete product range. This would include marketing throughout the area, product training, technical support, budgeting, stocking and pricing of products.

POSITION INFO:

Duties and responsibilities:

Marketing activities – you will be responsible for editorials, technical articles and advertisements. You will be responsible for new product launches, exhibitions as well as demo boards. Furthermore, you would need to establish relationships with consultants to get the company’s products specified.
Product training – you will be responsible for ongoing training of staff country wide, customers as well as consultants.
Technical support – you will be responsible to technical support of staff as well as customers. Furthermore, you will be responsible for problem solving to establish correct operation of the product.
Sales – it would be your duty to get the product into the market through conventional sales channels, this will include visits to customers with the sales engineers.
Budget responsibility – you would be responsible for setting realistic targets for sales of your product. This will include setting pricing, taking into account the competitor’s prices, new products and market share.

Requirements:

A suitable tertiary qualification.
Experience in a similar vacancy.
