SUMMARY:
To manage the department. To manage Risk and Safety within the unit. Ensure legal compliance and adherence to maintenance and planning schedules. The role needs to ensure that all manufactured products are meeting product and Quality specifications.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities:

Achieve the budgeted and forecasted sales volumes required by the market in time and on full;
Drive down direct and indirect manufacturing costs;
Adhere to quality standards and specifications;
Manage the manufacturing team;
Ensure the manufacturing environment complies with the required safety and health standards;
Achieve benchmarked performance levels for the industry and identify & drive continuous improvement initiatives;
Deliver the strategic initiatives as agreed;
Maintain sound employee relations and manage performance agreements according to divisional standards;

Manage capital expenditure projects and ensure adherence to agreed capex deliverables.

Qualaifications:

National Diploma: Engineering,Operationsor Manufacturing discipline or similar

Have a full understanding of relevant legislation;
Be computer literate (JDE experience will be an advantage);
Demonstrate functional leadership capabilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; A minimum of 5years relevant production management experience
