JOB SUMMARY:
Overview:
Our client is on the hunt for an experienced Production Supervisor: Extrusion. Coming from a strong manufacturing background you will be expected to streamline operational success by managing personnel to ensure quality output in the Extrusion and Texturizing production departments.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities

Coordinate evaluation, trial, and commercial/technical release of new products (raw material and construction).
Control, coordinate, direct and develop all activities related to the Production departments.
Ensure to reach yield values within the framework of quality standards.
Provide performance coaching/feedback and development planning for direct reports to enhance personal performance and company productivity.
Ensuring the implementation of the process for measuring, reviewing and improving the results of the main activities within the departments.
Provide the creation, implementation and supervision of standard operating instructions.
Take an active role in continuous improvement studies.
Participate and contribute to Quality Management Systems and other system applications, to ensure the effectiveness and continuity of the implemented applications.
Controlling Preventative Maintenance Program and executing plan.
Execution of improvement projects and special assignments.
Prepare KPI reports.
Responsible for understanding strategic expectations and goals for the departments.
Manage the annual investment budget for the Production departments and coordinate the provision of appropriate activities.

Minimum Requirements:

National Diploma in Engineering or related field.
Knowledge of process improvement, lean manufacturing, managing budget and production standards.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment of which a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Supervisory role.
Polymer Extrusion process background is advantageous.
Experience in executing and managing projects.
Experience with electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment and systems.
Experience using MRP Systems (Syspro is advantageous).
Experience working with ISO standards and systems.
Computer literacy (Microsoft office).
The ability to lead a team successfully and employee relations experience.
