PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR (HEAVY ENGINEERING)

SUMMARY:
To ensure that production machinery is running safely, reliably, and efficiently with responsibilities for installation, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of all mechanical and electrical equipment used in manufacturing environment.

POSITION INFO:
Duties: Maintenance and installation of the following: Mechanical systems include crushers, mixers, extruders, alignment and lubrication. Electrical systems include Motors, VFD's \/ VSD's, sensors, panels and basic PLC fault-finding Safety compliance including LOTO, inspections and safe working areas and conditions Maintenance operations include Preventive maintenance, breakdown response, root‑cause analysis Documentation which includes Job cards, maintenance logs, equipment history People management, overseeing 20 operators, junior artisans and workshop assistants Requirements: Matric certificate required Relevant trade qualifications will be an advantage (Millwright \/ Fitter \/ Electrician) Knowledge and experience of heavy-duty equipment Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role Experience working with electronics desirable Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Strong communication skills High attention to detail Remuneration: R32000 Negotiable
