This Construction company undertakes multiple residential projects.
Job Description
Reporting to the SHEQ Manager you will be responsible for the following:
- Ensuring the company’s activities comply with local H & S regulations.
- Working closely with Site Mgt.
- Risk assessments and identifying hazards.
- Safety Inspections and reporting.
- Ensuring preventative measures, hazard control and PPE are implemented.
- Enforce H & S policies.
- Maintaining the OHS System, policies, procedures, manuals and arrange for awareness and training.
- Assisting Site Management to improve all safety aspects of the project.
- Recordkeeping of all safety related events.
- Investigating and reporting of accidents and near misses.
- Submitting of Monthly Statistics and supporting documentation.
- Conduct site company inductions.
- Review and update the H & S plan.
- Compile and conduct toolbox talks.
- Arrange all required medicals for the lifespan of the Project.
Qualifications
- SAMTRAC or National Diploma in Health and Safety Management AND
- First Aid Level 2
Skills
- Min 5 years experience in construction building projects.
- MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook
