Pack House Manager

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

• Manage the total packaging process in terms of productivity, effectivity, protocol adherence, packing tempo and quality control
• Oversee effective management of the cold store
• Manage the Health & Safety and Compliance systems (OHSA, BRC & HACCP)
• Pack house purchases and cost management
• Manage the maintenance and repairs function of the pack house
• Personnel management

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in a fruit pack house management role
• Relevant post matric qualification will be advantageous
• Well-developed leadership and management skills
• Excellent planning and organisational skills
• Computer literate and proficient in the use of MS Office & Vitrax
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication (English & Afrikaans) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to function well under pressure and prioritise tasks
