JOB SUMMARY:
Our Agriculture client is currently looking to appoint a Packing Operations Manager to lead and coordinate all packing operations activities in their Nelspruit Packhouse.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum Qualification required:

Tertiary qualifications, technology, supply chain, logistics or similar.

Skills and experience required:

5 years’ experience at a supervisory or higher level
Well-developed leadership skills in a high-tech packing operation
Technological, numerical, and inductive reasoning is critical for this role to be able to lead the technological advancement of the Packhouse equipment and operating systems.
Customer service excellence
Track record of success in technically advanced sub-tropical packing operations
Build strong relationships
Problem solving skills
Decision making
Demonstrate high integrity
Advanced Excel skills and intermediate MS Office skills

Job description:

Operational budgeting, forecasting and finances
People management
Develop and implement planning process for the Packhouse in alignment with forecasted volumes
Ensure high and consistent product quality by monitoring processes and controls
Ensure packing regulations, health and safety compliance
Improve and maintain Packing Operations Management Systems
Drive performance improvement to ensure improved and increased production
Drive service excellence
Ensure team are well trained, mentored and developed
