JOB SUMMARY:
Our client in the Agricultural sector, has an opportunity available for a Pan Boiler in the Dalton, KZN area.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Requirements:

Matric with Maths and Science
Completion of the Certification Course for a Pan Boiler with STC
4 years sugar manufacturing plant operations and control experience
Knowledge of operating machinery
Knowledge of the process will be an advantage
Work under pressure and with minimum supervision
Be able to boil any grade of massecuites in batch pans with minimum delays
Must be able to cycle pans to prevent any bottlenecks in order to achieve the required number of strikes per shift

KPAs:

Maintain stock levels in order to achieve the plan mill crush rate
Strike massecuites at the required brixes
Carry out pan inspection on schedule stop dates and report any defects for remedial action by maintenance department
Carry out all operations as per ISO 9001 standards
Records / reports any maintenance / changes that may be required on stop days or off-crop and be able to do minor maintenance on the run
Must take ownership for the section – housekeeping and safety.
