Paralegal

SUMMARY:
Our client is looking to appoint a Paralegal to their Legal & Compliance team, supporting transactional, contractual and regulatory work across the group's funding products. The successful candidate will provide hands-on support to legal counsel, from contract drafting and documentation management to compliance administration and client liaison

POSITION INFO:
Requirements A paralegal\/legal secretarial diploma is advantageous 2 years relevant experience in a corporate setting. Working knowledge of FICA, NCA and\/or POPIA Strong drafting, proofreading and written communication skills Clear criminal record Duties: Draft, proofread and format standard funding, security and commercial agreements. Support FICA\/KYC verification and onboarding documentation for clients. Assist with compliance administration relating to the National Credit Act (NCA) and POPIA. Conduct due diligence checks and compile supporting documentation for transactions. Liaise with clients, internal stakeholders and external attorneys to gather and verify documentation. Assist with company secretarial tasks (CIPC filings, resolutions, minute-keeping) as required. Conduct basic legal and regulatory research to support the legal team. Provide general administrative support to the Legal & Compliance department.
