A prominent and growing financial services organization dedicated to supporting financial advisors, operational excellence, and asset growth. The Paraplanner \/ Business Developer provides dedicated business development and paraplanning support to a panel of financial advisors and the regional portfolio manager, driving growth in assets under management and ensuring adherence to advisory standards. Key responsibilities Manage alignment and expectation management with regional partners and their back offices as they transition into a new business environment and operating model. Identify and develop client opportunities by analysing individual advisor client databases. Execute client advisory plans and annual reviews on behalf of leadership and in collaboration with advisors. Assist advisors in developing their value propositions, pricing frameworks, and business assessment dashboards. Support business development activation at client events and roadshows. Monitor system usage statistics and track adoption of endorsed advice processes to improve operational efficiencies. Drive better results and help advisors reach their advisory model targets and strategic objectives. Requirements Relevant tertiary qualification, with a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Finance, or Investments essential. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the financial services sector or a similar role. Experience or certification in Financial Planning (Certified Financial Planner status advantageous). Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly in Excel, alongside familiarity with systems like XPlan and QlikView. Valid driver's licence and the ability to travel across the KwaZulu-Natal region as required. Attributes Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong client service orientation. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively influence and persuade others. High emotional resilience, self-motivation, and a proactive, action-oriented approach. Ability to function effectively at both a strategic level and handle operational responsibilities.
