SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity presents itself for a part-time Bookkeeper/Junior Accountant within a reputable engineering company.

This role will best suit an experienced Afrikaans speaking professional who would like to work in a hybrid role (2–3 days per week or equivalent hours).

POSITION INFO:
Requirements

5+ years’ experience in bookkeeping/accounting, preferably for multiple entities
Proficient in Xero accounting software
Solid working knowledge of SARS processes and South African tax regulations
Experience producing audit-ready accounts and working with external auditors
Trustworthy, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
Familiarity with vTiger CRM a plus

Key Responsibilities

Full bookkeeping function for all 3 companies using Xero
Prepare and submit VAT, EMP201, EMP501, and other statutory returns
Generate monthly management accounts and track cash flow
Maintain and manage RMA, UIF, COIDA, Letter of Good Standing, etc.
Support preparation for year-end audits: reconciliations, trial balance reviews, and auditor liaison
Provide clear financial updates and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
Occasionally assist with payroll, supplier payments, and general financial admin
Familiarity with or willingness to work alongside our business system, vTiger CRM
