SUMMARY:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Pastry Chef to join the culinary team at a luxury lodge based in Phalaborwa. The ideal candidate will bring passion, innovation, and consistency to the pastry section, delivering high-quality desserts and baked goods that enhance the guest dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, bake, and present pastries, breads, and desserts to the highest standards.
• Design seasonal and innovative dessert menus aligned with lodge dining experiences.
• Maintain excellent food presentation and consistency in portion control.
• Manage stock control, ordering, and proper storage of ingredients.
• Uphold hygiene, health, and safety standards in the kitchen.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and kitchen team to deliver exceptional culinary offerings.
• Train and guide junior kitchen staff when required.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements

• Formal Culinary/Pastry qualification.
• Previous experience as a Pastry Chef in a 4–5 star lodge, hotel, or fine-dining establishment.
• Strong creativity, attention to detail, and passion for pastry arts.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Commitment to maintaining high food and safety standards.
