Location: Parktown, Gauteng Employment Type: Permanent Work Arrangement: Office-based Salary: R8,000 per month Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30 Start Date: As soon as possible A well-established organisation based in Parktown is looking for a Payments & Administration Clerk to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised, detail-oriented individual who enjoys working with figures, administration and ensuring that financial information is accurately captured and maintained. Minimum Requirements Matric Previous administration experience Previous exposure to receipting, payments, data capturing or financial administration will be advantageous Computer literate with good MS Office skills Good written and verbal communication skills Fluent in English and Afrikaans Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organisational and time-management skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Able to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines Positive, professional and proactive attitude Reliable and punctual Key Responsibilities Check that all bank deposits correspond with bank statements before allocating payments to client accounts Review bank statements and accurately allocate debits and credits Process and assist with the reversal of payments where required Ensure that the necessary remittances or written authorisation are received before allocating payments Compare client remittance advices against invoice payment reports to ensure accurate allocations Follow up with relevant Credit Controllers and Managers regarding outstanding or unallocated deposits Ensure payments are allocated accurately and timeously to support commission and month-end reporting deadlines Maintain accurate electronic filing of daily schedules and supporting documentation Assist with general administration, including scanning, copying, filing and document management Provide support with ad hoc administrative duties and overflow work when required Important Information This is a fully office-based position in Parktown and is not a hybrid or remote role. The position offers an opportunity to build experience within a structured Shared Services environment and work closely with an experienced administration team.
