An innovative, multinational company is seeking the assistance of a Payroll Accountant

This company has been in working for more than a century and was founded in Europe. This company specializes in an assortment of services ranging from advisory to financials solutions.

As Payroll Accountant, you will be responsible for day-to-day payroll transactions, processing the payroll accounting system and for preparing payroll account reconciliations.

Please note this is a 6 month contract

Duties will include:

• Execute and oversee the day-to-day operations of payroll in line with the standard operating procedure.
• Reconcile all payroll balance sheets to ensure that there is no over and/or under payment of staff or third parties;
• Responsible for remuneration budgeting to ensure that payroll expenditure is within set parameters.
• Prepare tax reconciliations i.e. IRP5 and IT14SD for reporting purposes;
• Responsible for checking payroll input for hiring resignation and terminations.
• Support management in identifying improvement opportunities to drive cost effective and efficient operation to maximise business profits.
• Preparing weekly cash flow statements, and controlling expenditure and cash flow
• Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts and statutory accounts
• Responding to financial inquiries by gathering and interpreting data
• Conducting internal audits such as wage reviews
• Examining financial records to check for accuracy

Job Experience & Skills Required:

Education

• B.Com
• HR or Payroll diploma will be advantageous

Experience:

• 8-10 years’ experience in a similar role

Specifications

• Greatsoft and SAP experience preferred
