Our client in the internet services industry, based in Port Elizabeth is currently looking to employ an experienced Payroll Administrator / HR Generalist.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a HR department.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Degree in HR would be advantageous.
  • VIP Payroll essential.
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
  • Good knowledge of employment/labour laws.
  • Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong communications skills.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to Management.
  • Compile and update employee records.
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to employee activities (recruitment, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations etc).
  • Deal with employee requests regarding HR issues, rules, and regulations.
  • Process payroll and all relevant data on the payroll system (absences, leave, deductions etc).
  • Ensure compliance with labour regulations.
  • Leave Management.
  • Update and maintain company and policies and procedures.
  • Draft HR Newsletter.
  • Prepare Employment Equity reports.
  • Prepare Annual Training and Workplace Skills Plan reports.
  • Mid-year and Tax-year end submissions.
