A multi-national mining conglomerate seeks an experienced Payroll Officer to join their finance team based in Sandton, Johannesburg North.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job & Company Description:
A multi-national mining conglomerate seeks an experienced Payroll Officer to join their finance team based in Sandton, Johannesburg North.

Duties include but are not limited to:
Accuracy of payroll data input
Payroll processing
Payslips distribution
Monthly payroll and 3rd party reconciliations
Statutory returns
Perform statutory compliance requirements
Payroll documentation filing
Accurate and timeous distribution of payroll results to Finance
Compliance to payroll processes and procedures and the applicable financial legislative requirements
Payroll reporting
Payroll queries
Timeous provision of information to auditors
Participation in projects
Operationalization of payroll for new countries

Education:
Matric (Grade 12)
Relevant tertiary qualification in finance or accounting
National Diploma in Finance or Payroll Administration an advantage

Skills & Experience:
3 to 4 years’ experience in a payroll accounting position within a corporate environment, with multiple functions, operating companies and countries
International payroll experience
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Working knowledge of SAP
Financial acumen
Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment
Team player
