A multi-national mining conglomerate seeks an experienced Payroll Officer to join their finance team based in Sandton, Johannesburg North.

*Please note that this position will be a fixed term contract for 4 months.

In this role, the incumbent will be more accounting inclined, but will work very closely to the payroll department. Involved on the accounting side of the payroll function. Reconciliations for payroll general ledger accounts, following up on payroll reconciliation outstanding items, work closely and liaise with group finance. This person will be more experienced in the payroll accounting side than the payroll processing side.

Education:
Matric (Grade 12)
Relevant tertiary qualification in finance or accounting
National Diploma in Finance or Payroll Administration an advantage

Skills & Experience:
3 to 4 years’ experience in a payroll accounting position within a corporate environment, with multiple functions, operating companies and countries
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Working knowledge of SAP
Financial acumen
Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment
Team player
