JOB SUMMARY:
Our client is looking for a highly skilled, motivated and dedicated Assistant & Sales Administrator who would like to be part of the team.

Purpose of the job: 

To assist the sales team to maintain and grow revenue and profitability. The Assistant & Sales Administrator will contribute towards achieving team based monthly and annual sales.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Key Responsibilities  include but not limited to the following:
  • Manage the executive’s calendar and diary commitments by scheduling or re-scheduling appointments, arranging venues and logistics and tracking attendance.
  • Receives, refers, or finalises telephonic enquiries on behalf of the respective executive/s.
  • Answers calls and handles queries, escalating when necessary.
  • Orders stationery
  • Prepares correspondence as required.
  • Scrutinizes written submissions/reports and makes notes and/or recommendations.
  • Performs advanced typing work, including preparation of PowerPoint presentations and annual reports.
  • Ensures all templates are current and being appropriately utilised.
  • Files and ensures safekeeping of all confidential documents.
  • Records minutes of meetings and follows up on outstanding actions items.
  • Makes bookings for all travel-related events.
  • Ensures all aspects of travel management are handled effectively and in keeping with budgetary and policy requirements.
  • Drawing up quotations
  • Process orders and forms
  • Prepare action plans and schedules to identify specific targets and to project the number of contacts to be made.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
  • Identify sales prospects and contact these and other accounts as assigned.
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
  • Establish and maintain current client and potential client relationships.
  • Prepare paperwork to activate and maintain contract services.
  • Manage account services through quality checks and other follow-up.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns.
  • Prepare a variety of status reports, including activity, closings, follow-up, and adherence to goals.
  • Communicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff.
  • Perform other duties as may be required.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Knowledge: 
  • Grade 12
  • National Diploma in Administration or related (compulsory)
  • Degree (Advantageous) 
  • At least 2 years’ experience in sales and advertising.
  • Computer literate

  • Terminology knowledge
