SUMMARY:
Our client specializes in project support for the (petro)chemical and maritime industries. They provide personnel in the areas of Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Operations, Maintenance, and Safety. They are seeking a Piping and Mechanical Work Planner/Supervisor to join their team in the Netherlands.

POSITION INFO:
Job Title: Piping and Mechanical Work Planner/Supervisor
Location: Netherlands

Vacancy Type: Full-Time

Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:

Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
5-10 years of experience in piping and mechanical work planning or supervision.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, piping layouts, and construction processes.
Location Requirement: Candidates should either be South African residents currently living in the Netherlands or South Africans willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
Fluency in Afrikaans (both written and spoken).

Beneficial requirements:

Proficient in project management tools and software, with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and solve problems under pressure.

Duties and responsibilities:

Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scheduling and resource allocation, for piping and mechanical work.
Supervise on-site teams to ensure work complies with quality standards, safety protocols, and project timelines.
Perform material take-offs and ensure timely procurement of piping and mechanical components.
Conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications and resolve any on-site challenges.
Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to provide updates and implement project improvements.
