Client information:
Our client has a long-standing reputation in the mining of iron ore, manganese and chrome. They are looking to appoint a Planner (ND or BTech Mining Engineering) on a 5-month contract to be based in the Northern Cape. The ideal incumbent will have Minimum of 3 years mine planning experience, fluent in mine planning software (Surpac, MineShed and or Datamine Studio).
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications:
National Diploma Mining Engineering or BTech Degree in Mining Engineering
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years in mine planning as a mine planner
Other Requirements:
Must be fluent in mine planning software especially Surpac, MineShed and/or Datamine Studio
Duties:
Deliver short term mining schedules
Produce presentations and present the plans
Run mine planning meetings
Pit visits
Produce CTP and recon reports
Deliver the mining plans / schedules reviews
Liaise with stakeholders to ensure smooth running of the planning process
Benefits:
