Planning & Raw Materials Logistics Leader

SUMMARY:

Our client, a company leading in producing and marketing polymer, with operations predominantly in South Africa is seeking a Planning & Raw Materials Logistics Leader to join their team based in KwaZulu-Natal.

POSITION INFO:

#produMinimum Requirements:

• Matric.
• BCom Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
• 5 years production planning experience in manufacturing and or shipping experience.

Technical Requirements:

• MS Office literacy (MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook essential).
• ODMS System (On Board Management System).

Main Responsibilities:

Final Product Planning:

• Managing supply demand balances.
• Plan to meet inventory set targets from S&OP based on performance of production and sales.
• Coordinating sales & demand planning meetings and managing the agreed action points.
• Confirming and agreeing monthly sales allocation within S&OP.
• Liaison closely with the inventory coordinator regarding estimated warehouse inventory levels.

Systems:

• Managing and Maintaining production process within SAP.
• Linear programming and other planning tools.

Feed Stock (Main Raw Materials):

• Closely managing and monitoring feed stock for manufacturing facilities.
• Manage the shipping, and landside transport between suppliers and company.
• Maintaining the schedule of actual raw materials off-take against allotment.
• Monitoring and controlling raw materials from loading to off-loading at company.

Purchasing and planning of all raw materials and packaging purchasing:

• Responsible for all raw- and packaging purchasing.
• Timeous reordering, proper forecasting and executing replenishment strategies.
• Managing forwarding and shipping activities.
• Managing, reviewing and monthly re-order requirements for raw materials.
• Maintaining the agreed standards of stock in country vs managing working capital.
