SUMMARY:
Our client based in the Northern Cape is seeking a Planning and Support Manager with at least 3 years of planned maintenance experience in a mining part control environment.

POSITION INFO:

You will be required to ensure the implementation of an effective Maintenance Management Strategy with all planning and scheduling reporting in place and continuously develop and review maintenance schedules to ensure that earthmoving and trackless mobile equipment is effectively utilised.

Minimum Qualification/s            

  • Certificate Trade Test Artisan (NQF 4)
  • Supervisory Development Programme (NQF 4)

Preferred Qualification/s            

  • BEng/BSc/National Diploma/National Certificate
  • Asset and Maintenance Management
  • Maintenance Planning
  • IT systems knowledge

Experience        

  • At least 3 years'' general Engineering work experience
  • At least 3 years'' in Planned Maintenance in a mining part control environment
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a Supervisory/Management Role
  • Maintenance Systems and Processes
  • Maintenance & Repair Planning
  • Condition Monitoring knowledge
  • Asset and Maintenance Management
  • Financial Management
  • Understanding of Legislation (MHSA) requirements 
  • Implementation of SHERQ Systems
  • Quality Management

Role Overview:

  • Accountable for the management of resources to deliver business targets
  • Optimise Routine Maintenance, Backlog Spares, Strategic Components and Critical Parts sourcing and control.
  • Implementation of appropriate systems and processes to improve equipment performance through improved planned repairs and maintenance
  • Develop and review HME budgets for each project and ensure implementation and adherence with operations teams.
  • Establish and profile the SHERQ and Employee relations risks for the area of responsibility.  
  • Communicate and ensure compliance with OHSA/MHSA and Company Policies and Procedures. 
  • Establish and manage effective and strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders, especially operational teams.
