SUMMARY:
Planning Engineer / Scheduler required to be based in Cork, Ireland. Open for SA Citizens with firm intentions of relocating. Start date will be as soon as possible with a relocation ideally in March 2021
POSITION INFO:
Qualifications required:
- Engineering Degree OR Quantity Surveying Degree Essential
Must have at least 3 to 5 Years of construction work experience as Planner / Scheduler across all sectors including Pharmaceutical, Commercial & Residential Construction projects.

- Thoroughly Proficient in Project Planning using Primavera P6 and MS Project with complete ease and familiarity of using it
- Completely conversant in Project Progress Measuring & Monitoring such as Histogram, S Curve
Summary of role:
- Thoroughly Proficient in Project Planning using Primavera P6 and MS Project with complete ease and familiarity of using it.
- Excellent English, both written and oral.
- Completely conversant in Project Progress Measuring & Monitoring such as Histogram, S Curve.
- Project Progress Reporting.
- Labour Productivity Measure & Reporting using S-curves
- Reporting using Schedule update in Primavera and Excel.
- To work as part of a team, including through the flexible allocation of work as it arises.
- Strong Construction background to understand the Sequence of works
- Preferably Pharma/Civil/Data Centre Industry project background knowledge.
- This role reports to a Senior Engineer that is the Head Planner

Process after an interview has been held:
There is a process which needs to be followed for permits, Visa’s etc which our client will give assistance with to the suitable applicant. Traditionally our client undertakes the Visa / Employment process. Our client expects the applicant to pay any Government charges (circa €1000) which our client will give back to the applicant after a successful 6 month probation period.
This post is for the Cork office and will require the successful applicant to be based in Cork, Ireland with occasional travel to the UK. Our client will arrange initial accommodation in Cork on arrival
