SUMMARY:
Bilnor Staffing Solution's client in the construction and open cast mining services is looking for suitably qualified candidates to apply for the position of PLANT FOREMAN. The successful incumbent will report to the Plant Manager and will be based in Hendrina, Mpumalanga.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for scheduling, co-ordinating and supervising the work of Artisans, ensuring that all work is delivered safely on time and within budget along with managing equipment and materials required. The Foreman will also be responsible for machine availability, managing breakdowns, and providing feedback/report on the condition and utilization of fleet.

Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12 or N4 Mechanical Engineering
- Must have red seal Mechanic trade certificate - red seal Earthmoving Mechanic trade certificate would be advantageous
- First Line Supervisor Certificate and Plant Conditioning Monitoring Certificate will be advantageous
Experience- A minimum of 6 years’ experience in the Roads industry, with specific focus on and exposure to Caterpillar, Komatsu, Wirtgen, Bomag, Hamm, Vogele Paver
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must be a South African Citizen
Knowledge and Skills- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word & Outlook)
- Working knowledge of the OHS and MHS Act, Principles, and DMR Regulations
- Knowledge of relevant legal requirements.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent judgement and decision making
- A great understanding of work optimization techniques
- Strong leadership skills, and good time management skills.
Key Responsibilities The success will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Coordinate the maintenance of equipment and machinery and ensure that operations run smoothly
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements
- Conduct and amend risk assessments and deliver toolbox talks/briefings
- Supervising and training staff, creating teams and managing the staff, maintenance, and work schedules
- Overseeing work to anticipate, detect, and address factors that impede operations
- Ensure that all equipment and machinery is properly operated and maintained; and perform administrative tasks.
- Ensure the completion of maintenance and repairs on time and within budget
- Schedule, co-ordinate and supervise the daily activities of Artisans
- Facilitate skills and knowledge transfer to teams
- Ensure Artisans complete all required documentation i.e. job cards
- Ensure documentation is properly completed in line with Client/Company requirements
- Track and document daily work outputs
- Organise and monitor the work of service providers on site
- Ensure that effective equipment and materials management
- Order and manage hired/internal equipment on a daily basis
- Co-ordinate delivery/pick up of parts and materials as required
- Ensure site personnel meet the relevant training requirements
- Conducting performance reviews with staff
- Implement Company requirements and legal regulations, paying specific attention to HSE legislation and quality.
- Operate and promote safe working conditions on site
